  • We are excited to announce our next phase of growth through a new fiscal sponsorship with the Open Collective!

    The Leadership Circle at the Nature Connection Network centers whole network well-being.

    Our Network’s mission is to encourage and support the healthy growth of nature connection organizations and their leaders in building resilient, regenerative, and just communities.

    Towards this mission, we searched for a collaborative platform that encourages, supports and accelerates both, the healthy growth of NCN organizations, their leaders and (local) communities, and the impacts of our movement at-large.

    Our Transformational Year has been all about shifting into new structures and paradigms reflective of a culture that supports our integrity within our growing network ecosystem.

    Our overall aim is for the Nature Connection Network to be a nodal resource for the organizational capacity-building of all of our members, for our individual and collective impact and sustainability, and for the integrity of the nature connection sector as a whole.

    Open Collective is designed to collaborate with circle models of leadership, like ours, by providing a platform and financial tools through a fundamental premise of transparency to support building trust and accountability.

    As we slowly grow in the practice of mutuality and solidarity, expanding our capacity as a community of leaders, mentors, and practitioners - the NCN resumes active membership offerings to our members.

    Through Open Collective we can grow into:

    Group health insurance

    Liability insurance

    Retirement strategies

    Collaborative grants

    In-network grants and other forms of mutual aid

    An extensive community of other initiatives, projects, and collectives with whom we can share learning and potentially collaborate to expand our reach and impact

    Our Member Benefits include:

    Opportunities for Relationship Building

    An article highlighting your school or program on all of our platforms and communications

    Access to monthly webinars

    Participation in different circles of practice

    In-person conference emphasizing support, connections, and skills;

    Professional support for Organizational Development

    Expanding opportunities for community engagement, support and mutual accountability for teaching nature connection with integrity

    Equitable, Reparative, and Sustaining financial guidance and instruments

    Access to a library of resources including:

    Recordings of NCN webinars and conferences starting year 2021;

    There is so much more to share! Thus far, we’ve been working hard to set up a membership platform, articulate clear standards and protocols for engagement and community tending, and put forth new equitable fee structures to roll out before the end of the year.

    For now, as we have been in the process of organizing our systems to better fit the needs of the growing structure, you are now part of this new listserv under the group email members@natureconnection.network. Please save it in your contacts and use this email to start any new conversations. Nature-connection-network@googlegroups.com will no longer be active or moderated.

    For transparency, active and inactive members are a part of this new listserv. Members who have canceled their memberships are not included, but can always rejoin.

    We consider the listserv to be our central fire where all are welcome, under the guidelines established by our shared community standards.

    Please come to us with your questions and curiosities! To contact us, email: leadership@natureconnection.network
